Product List:

A small child-sized bench I bought from Value Village for $8.18 Oval shaped wood to cover heart detail (purchased from Hobby Lobby) Waverly chalk paint in Elephant and Plaster (purchased from Wal-Mart) Folk Art chalk paint in Blushed Pink (purchased from Wal-Mart) Folk Art silver acrylic (had in stash already) Re-Design transfer "Vintage Dream" rose (purchased from Etsy) 120 grit sandpaper Polycrylic in Matte

Spray bottle with water only

Large round brush

First, I cleaned the bench with Totally Awesome (I watered it down 2:1). It was so gross! I kept washing it down and changing the water until no more dirt was on it. Then, I painted the whole bench with two coats of Folk Art chalk paint in Blushed Pink.

Next, I painted the middle parts with Waverly chalk paint in Plaster. I sprayed it with water to move the paint around with a round brush. I then added a bit of Waverly chalk paint in Elephant to the corners to give it some depth. I used the round paintbrush to feather out the paint colors. I let the paint dry.

I drew a triple moon design to the oval wood piece to give it a fantasy feel. I used silver paint and a dab of Plaster to give it a realistic moon look. I used Elephant for a shadow effect. I let that dry.

I added a transfer from the bits left over from previous projects (never let the bits and pieces go to waste!) and added a very watered-down Elephant chalk paint around the piece to give it shadow and depth.

Lastly, I applied Polycrylic in Matte to the bench using two coats. You could use more if you like.

I thought it turned out beautiful! What a beautiful piece to add to a little girl's room!
