"Where did you come up with the name for your shop"?

West Hoke is the street I grew up on in the little town of Landis, NC. I lived there for the first ten years of my life and I still carry wonderful memories growing up there. When I was a child, that house seemed enormous, but in actuality, it was pretty average-sized. I still remember how it was laid out and all of the little niches that were there. The room that used to be mine once had my baby footprints stamped on the wall.

That house will forever be in my heart.

My grandmother painted this wheelbarrow planter black and white. She loved refurbishing things and gardening, so naturally, this was her thing. My mother has this planter now. It is showing its age (oh, the luscious rust!) but still holds the most beautiful plants ever.
